Welcome to The Little Caboose Blog!

A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Ginger. I’m a solar-powered, sugar-enabled, God-fearing, military-loving, book-slinging, coffee-drinking mother of two adorable kids! I like to share books and stories. Sometimes I’m serious and sometimes I’m silly, but I’m always passionate. On my best days, I’m making lemonade out of lemons, other days I’m crying over spilled milk.

The meaning behind the name

Often I feel like the caboose at the end of a train. I’m hanging on for the ride, wherever life might take me. I don’t always have a lot of say in where the train is going (that’s military life for you!) but most of the time I’m enjoying the travels. Yet, that’s not the whole picture, there’s more to that little caboose. The caboose provides shelter for the crew; gives a place for the conductor to set up his desk, handle his business and keep his records; and serves as the housing quarters. The caboose is where the people live on the train. Sure, it might not be the engine, but I consider it to be the heart of the train.
