What’s Saving My Life Right Now (Fall Edition)

Every season I like to stop and think about the small things that are “saving my life” right now. “Saving my life” is a bit dramatic, instead I’ll call them “life-hacks” or, simply put, things that are bringing me joy. It might be directly related to the season or to my season of life. I started this habit last winter when I was desperately counting my blessings to help me through the cold, dark months, but I found I continued the practice into the spring and summer.

On the surface this seems only fun and trivial, but on the other hand it’s important to note the little things in life that bring us joy or are helping us save time (and sometimes even our sanity).

With that said, here’s what’s saving my life right now…

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice (in single serve cups) – Hands down, this is the best pumpkin spice coffee that I’ve ever tasted. Pumpkin spice items are usually only seasonal at Trader Joe’s so I recommend stocking up now.

Muffin Pan Omelets (Oven Baked Mini Omelets) – The mornings the kids have swim practice, I need to serve them a hearty breakfast but I don’t always have the time to make them a hearty breakfast. These are super easy to make and perfect for making ahead and leaving them in the fridge to grab during the week. Click here for a tutorial and the recipe.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm – I can already feel the moisture leaving my skin as winter approaches. Thankfully I found this ultra-moisturizing lip balm before winter. Feels great, has a nice tint without having too much color, and smells like chocolate. It reminds me of the chocolate lip-gloss that I used to wear as a kid.

The beautiful scenery and bright colors of fall – I feel like the colors of the leaves this year are extra amazing. Or maybe I’m just taking the time to notice them. I have been in complete awe the entire month at how beautiful the trees. It brings so much joy to my heart.
